FAQ

What are the UAS program terms for the use of the items I order?

UAS items received from the program are meant for the sole use of your LEA’s students with low incidence disabilities who experience the most complex instructional needs for the duration of the long term loan and the student remains at the LEA.

UAS items are intended for the student's use in an at home or in-school setting depending on what will be the best support(s) for instruction.

The UAS program is a LONG-term loan with the expectation that items such as tactile objects, putty, fidget items, board games, sorting sets, etc will be with the LEA for the lifespan of the item. Technology items such as braille devices, internet devices, switches, and other “equipment” are to held by the LEA for the extended period of time in which there are student(s) with low incidence disabilities with the most complex instructional needs using such equipment.

Technology items that require additional setup will be configured and managed according to the technology policies of the receiving LEA.

Technology items that require user configuration, are the responsibility of the receiving LEA’s Special Education support program or IT Department prior to provisioning to the student.

UAS items ordered from the store will be shipped from PaTTAN East office in Malvern directly to the LEA’s building address provided in the ordering process.

The LEA agrees to keep all UAS items in good working condition and keep the original packaging.

If contents are damaged, lost, or stolen, the LEA will notify the PaTTAN East office immediately by emailing uasinfo@pattankop.net

Important Reminder: Items requested from the UAS store do not replace an LEA’s Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) obligation.

LEA = Local Education Agency
